Video: Tegucigalpa, Honduras Airport landing

I have actually landed at this airport a few times, flying Continental out of Houston. US pilots are required to get special training and certification before landing in Tegucigalpa. It's a rather short runway surrounded by mountains. I can tell you that it is an unnerving experience, especially when you get tropical thunderstorms.

I post this in response to the latest TACA crash in Tegucigalpa.

  2. Thanks for the warm comment. I visited Honduras on Agriculture- related Business in the Comayagua area. I visited a number of farms and packing facilities for vegetables, mostly cucumbers. I especially enjoyed the small towns. It is a beautiful country, warm people and much unrealized potential.
