reutrcohen.blogspot.com has a killer report on the hate at UCI

UCI has become an epicenter of radical Islamic extremism. Hopefully the FBI has the place wired. I have no idea how most of these folks were even allowed in the country, or are not on the no-fly list.

  1. Perhaps we can take solace that all these people can probably do (personally) is just yelp loudly like those irritating ankle high dogs who have little real power to do anything,'know' it deep down, and that's why they yelp so much.

What these particular people have in their mind,I don't know. My guess though is that they've never stepped on the land of Israel in their lives, and get their view of what Israel 'is', from certain propaganda outlets that they favour in the same way that a startling amount of Free Tibet campaigners have never even been either to Tibet itself nor have been to the nation of the people they demonize so much (China). People seem to create a dangerously idealised view of things from afar, and make romantic myths.

It could be that the people in this video may know full well what 'they' really want to happen to Israel, but my guess is that a lot of others just don't really know what they're asking for when they demand an end to an 'occupation'.

When they say 'occupation' it seems they believe Israel is just a military unit and nothing else, inhabiting someone elses land for the 'fun' of it and who get a kick out of military strikes.

My impression has been that a lot of people abroad see Israel as a mobile army unit that will just get up and walk off if somebody else screams hard enough about them. They don't seem to grasp that there are a vast amount of people living there now. Families with beloved grandparents, parents, sons and daughters, nieces and nephews.

An entire generation who have been born since 1948 with many who have little interest in politics, have created a proud developed nation that contributes to the world, and aren't going anywhere. And they certainly would not just up sticks and leave that developed land to people who think they can just inherit 60+ years of sheer hard work for free, like taking Rome.

When some of these groups talk about 'rights' and 'human dignity', don't they realize just what an ugly situation they would unleash if they (won't happen) manage to get Israel to just get up and go somewhere else, somehow? If they are weeping at human uprooting now, then they'd be in for a shock if they really knew what their dream would like like in reality. My guess is that they wouldn't weep a tear for the Jews uprooted.

Some of the most inconsiderate people seem to be those who live far away from trouble spots and interfere by throwing spanners (propaganda, funding, weapons) into the works from afar with no actual consequences to 'themselves', with the people on the ground paying the price for their meddling like chess pieces in their game. It occurs with the issue of Tibet, Myanamar, and others, with outsiders wanting to be the hero and people living right in the midst of the dispute suffering most as a result of the tinkering.

As mentioned in earlier comments, I believe there is certainly room for criticism of some Israeli policys. The controversial slowly expanding settlements for brand new immigrants, being one of them. But as an entity in itself, I will continue to defend Israel's right to exist and I don't buy for a second that marches like the one in this video really care about fair solutions or peoples rights at all.
