Egypt: Jews who want their property back are unwelcome to visit Egypt

All you need to know about the Arab-Israeli conflict can be found in this little story. Egypt today cancelled a visit of a group of Israelis because they feared they would demand their property back. These are Israelis who were born in Egypt and whose families were forced to leave Egypt after Israel was created in 1948, and their properties were confiscated by the Egyptian government.

Of course, Egypt demands that All Palestinian Arabs who fled Israel as a result of the 1948 war (a war initiated by the Arabs to destroy Israel) be allowed to return to Israel and repossess any property they may have owned. But like all other Arab countries, have no intention of returning confiscated Jewish-owned property of the hundreds of thousands of Jews who fled Arab Lands.

According to official Arab statistics, 856,000 Jews left their homes in Arab countries from 1948 until the early 1970s. Some 680,000 resettled in Israel, their descendants, and those of Iranian and Turkish Jews now number 3.06 Million Israelis, or 5.4 - 5.8 Million Jewish Citizens worldwide. They left behind property valued today at more than $300 billion. Jewish-owned real-estate left behind in Arab lands has been estimated at 100,000 square kilometers (four times the size of the entire State of Israel).

Somehow, you never hear about this from those promoting the Palestinian cause. Hmmmm, I wonder why?
