Islamic Mobs: In the name of Allah, Kill Gillian Gibbons

Thousands demonstrate in the Capital of Sudan, calling for the death of the Teddy bear teacher, Gillian Gibbons: "Kill her, kill her, kill her by firing squad." Pictures of the 54-year-old, who was sentenced to 15 days in jail for insulting Islam by letting her class call a teddy bear Mohammad, were set alight or trampled into the dirt. The teacher was moved from the central prison to an undisclosed location to avoid a lynching by the mob. What galls me is that there are Islamic "civil rights" organization in the West that purport to lecture the rest of us on "tolerance."

Would You Buy This Stock?

I would rather have shares in a toilet paper company. A more useful and respected product that people actually need.

Check out: UNCoRRELATED

Partition: 60 years ago today

The 1947 plan was welcomed by Jews but rejected by the Arabs who invaded in an attempt to "throw the Jews into the sea." With overwhelming superior manpower and weapons the Arabs still lost, and Israel survived. 60 years later Israel's UN ambassador delivers a line that is the essence of truth: "On this date, the world got a gift: a state which contributes to humanity more than all the countries in the UN that mourn on this day." In less than the average lifetime of a human being, tiny Israel went from the abject poverty of ragged holocaust survivors, to the largest GDP in the Middle East, larger than all the surrounding Arab nations combined. Cutting edge technological breakthroughs in many fields such as medicine, agriculture and computers...a crop of Nobel laureates. And what in the same 60 years have the Arabs delivered for mankind? Aside for suicide bombers and improvised explosive devices? Nothing but hate, oppression, finger-pointing and primitive religious fundamentalism (which they blame on everyone but themselves).

The Political Whores that are NOW: 'We're Too Busy for Gillian Gibbons'

Unless it's Islamo-fascist violence.

The National Organization for Women (NOW) had nothing to say about the recent conviction of a Saudi Woman to 40 lashes for committing the crime of being gang raped. NOW was recently approached to at least issue a statement on the conviction of a British school teacher in Sudan, for allowing her students to name the class teddy bear 'Mohammad'. "We are not putting out a statement or taking a position." HOLY #%@! You have got to be kidding me!

At least former LA chapter president of NOW, Tammy Bruce issued a personal statement: “We have a duty to make a difference for women around the world, The supposed feminist establishment is refusing to take a position in this regard because they have no sensibility of what is right anymore. They're afraid of offending people. They are bound by political correctness. The American feminist movement has not taken one stand to support the women of Iraq, the women of Afghanistan, the women of Iran. It is the United States Marines who have been doing the feminist work by liberating women and children around the world.”

French "Youths" (read Muslims) continue to riot
Gang arrested trying to sell enriched uranium
Hamas: "No room for the Jews." (what else is new?)

Is that a bomb strapped to your forehead?

This is actually a funny story (to me at least). This guy should have had better sense by doing his morning prayers at home before boarding the train. I mean, are we now to expect or demand that all Americans familiarize themselves with the morning prayer rituals of Orthodox Jews, or of any other religion for that matter? Seriously, the guy is strapping a box to his head and arm on a packed train...how are folks to know that it's just Tefellin, or what Tefellin are? I give these passengers a break, in fact they should be praised for staying alert to their surroundings and reacting to what they perceived as suspicious activity.

From Annapolis to Tehran

I haven't commented on the Annapolis love-fest so here are a few quick observations: I wish the conference success, I really do. I don't join those who are out to discredit all efforts at reconciliation in advance. On the other hand, I don't believe for a moment that the conference will lead to any kind of real or lasting peace, but it seems that unlike some others on my side of the spectrum, I genuinely hope I'm proven wrong and by some miracle a path to lasting peace and security is found. Meanwhile, as the delegates at Annapolis dialog, I find it hard to ignore more down-to-earth headlines over the past 24 hours, like these:
Iran builds new longer-range missile
Iran to host militants for 'alternative' Mideast conference
Iran to launch offensive submarine
Iran announces plans for major gulf naval exercise
Iran: "Israel will not survive"

Buchanan: Purge the Neocons!

It's the end of Pat Buchanan's America:Wow! Bearish on his own country; a preacher of doom and gloom; the prince of pessimism, Pat Buchanan has a new book out and he quickly gets down to identifying our real problem: the Neocons. He calls for "purging" people like me. Usually, when Pat refers to "neocons," he means Joooos. The man simply can't help himself. In Pat's world, folks like me are not entitled to compete freely in the open marketplace of ideas, instead, we should be PUUUUURGED to make way for a more "pure" conservative...like himself of course. Thanks Pat.

Review: August Rush

In short, an absolute MUST SEE! A little Corny, unabashedly sentimental but only in the most positive sense of those terms. A fantastic "family-values" film; I'm amazed it got past the Hollywood PC censors. The hoards of lefty critics are going to hate this film and everything it stands for. A powerful anti-abortion statement (however unintentional). A modern-day classic Charles Dickens-like tale. Two attractive, young, imperfect yet highly talented musicians meet by chance and get carried away by their passions. A child is conceived and unbeknown to the father, the mother decides to carry it to term. However, following an accident she delivers the baby under emergency circumstances while unconscious. Her career-obsessed father arranges for the new-born to be put up for adoption and later informs his distraught daughter that her baby died in the accident. The rest of the film deals with the heart-wrenching journey over a period of years, of the child and his two parents to find each other through music and a strong sub-conscious, unexplainable force that draws them emotionally and geographically together in the gradual convergence of a family that was originally denied...but was meant to be. Anyone who is unmoved by this powerful film should be denied access to movie theaters because they would be one cold-hearted, stone-cynical SOB (which describes most film critics). I give this one five stars. Bravo!

Ayatollah Khomeini: 'Let Iran Burn'

"We do not worship Iran, we worship Allah. For patriotism is another name for paganism. I say let this land [Iran] burn. I say let this land go up in smoke, provided Islam emerges triumphant in the rest of the world."
For those who are absolutely convinced that we should "learn to live with an Iranian bomb."

Unprecedented Global Transfer of Wealth

With oil hovering in the $100 per-barrel range, we are currently witnessing one of the largest transfers of wealth in human history, as prosperous Western nations eagerly spend their money to feed a massive addiction to oil-generated energy. Oil producing economies are booming in unprecedented fashion, while Western economies are beginning to stumble. The implications can be staggering if the trend continues, and I don't mean that in a good way.

USAID, An Important Agency Walking Around Clueless

"Palestinian police found several Iranian agents and an Iranian general teaching the students in the U.S.-funded chemistry lab how to make suicide bombs."

"Granted $180,000 to a Bosnian group whose president was, since 1997, included on a "watch list" barring his entry into the United States."

"A man sentenced to four years in prison for lying about his dealings with a disciple of Usama bin Laden had been part of a group that received $1 million from USAID."

"Randall L. Tobias, a former chairman and chief executive of Eli Lilly & Company and of AT&T International, resigned abruptly last April, amid disclosures he had patronized a Washington, D.C., escort service."
I did some consulting work for a USAID contractor in Gaza, and found their key staff in DC to be snot-nose lefties with an affinity for the "Palestinian cause" who tended to complain about those "pushy Jews." So none of this surprises me in the least. It's not just incompetence, it's an agency that tends to attract an unusual percentage of folks immersed in the ideological sewer of moral relativism. The above photo is of a Palestinian standing in front of Israeli made greenhouses that were destroyed by Palestinians following the Gaza disengagement. The Israelis left hundreds of such greenhouses in tact so that Palestinians could grow their own food and create jobs. An excellent idea if managed correctly. Wealthy US Jews put up the money for the greenhouses to remain and USAID was to help administer the program with our tax dollars. The USAID contractor was completely clueless of how to handle the program and navigate the political sensitivities, and the Palestinians quickly destroyed the greenhouses for the metal and other material they could scavenge. Undoubtedly, some of that metal has returned to Israel in the form of Kassam rockets landing on its southern cities.

FBI Hate Crimes Statistics

CAIR and the Arab-American Anti-Discrimination Committee have some "splanin" to do. Listening to them one might get the impression that Muslims are hunted down in the streets of America like Jews on Kristalnacht. Of course, new FBI statistics tell a vastly different story. I wonder how they're going to spin this one?

The Mental Illness that is the left

A lefty "anti-war" protester brings her kids to block traffic and act as human shields in Olympia, Washington. She then drops her baby. The sickness of these folks is astoundingly deep. H/T: Michelle Malkin

Update: a short observation from Obob which I failed to point out: "I love how she teaches her children to be full of courage by hiding their faces." How true.

A dangerous mental illness requiring years of therapy and deprogramming. Minds that are imprisoned by a cult of delusional self hate, self destructive paranoia and malignant narcissism.

British Crank Pat Condell Scores Big...Again

He's an atheist and a real "liberal", in the traditional sense. I don't subscribe to the little swipe that he takes against Catholic priests in this long and well articulated rant, but I do subscribe to just about everything else. Give'm hell Pat! Clearly this liberal has been mugged by reality one time too many and he's not taking it any more. I predict that Mr. Condell is going places with his brutal honesty.

Intel Israel Delivers Fastest Chip

"Once again led by its research and development center in Haifa, Israel, Intel Corp., the world's largest semiconductor manufacturer, on Monday unveiled its smallest and fastest processing chipset. Codenamed Penryn, the processors, including 16 eco-friendly and "cooler" chips, are the first to be produced on the company's 45 nanometer (nm) manufacturing process. Intel's Israeli R&D facilities have been at the forefront of its technological breakthroughs contributing to technologies such as the Core 2 Duo and the 65nm multi-core microprocessor, which serves as the bais for the Intel Viiv and Centrino Duo mobile technologies. "
I'm still holding my breath for that Arab technological breakthough that will assist all of mankind...and I don't mean IED's and suicide belts.

Founder of the Weather Channel, Meteorologist John Coleman: Global Warming is the Greatest Scam in History

"It is the greatest scam in history. I am amazed, appalled and highly offended by it. Global Warming; It is a SCAM. Some dastardly scientists with environmental and political motives manipulated long term scientific data to create in [sic] allusion of rapid global warming. Other scientists of the same environmental whacko type jumped into the circle to support and broaden the "research" to further enhance the totally slanted, bogus global warming claims. Their friends in government steered huge research grants their way to keep the movement going. Soon they claimed to be a consensus.

Environmental extremists, notable politicians among them, then teamed up with movie, media and other liberal, environmentalist journalists to create this wild "scientific" scenario of the civilization threatening environmental consequences from Global Warming unless we adhere to their radical agenda. Now their ridiculous manipulated science has been accepted as fact and become a cornerstone issue for CNN, CBS, NBC, the Democratic Political Party, the Governor of California, school teachers and, in many cases, well informed but very gullible environmental conscientious citizens. Only one reporter at ABC has been allowed to counter the Global Warming frenzy with one 15 minutes documentary segment.

I have read dozens of scientific papers. I have talked with numerous scientists. I have studied. I have thought about it. I know I am correct. There is no run away climate change. The impact of humans on climate is not catastrophic. Our planet is not in peril. I am incensed by the incredible media glamour, the politically correct silliness and rude dismissal of counter arguments by the high priest of Global Warming."
In time, a decade or two, the outrageous scam will be obvious. On the other hand, if this scam is what generates the political and social will to free ourselves of Saudi oil with new technologies, then perhaps the whole scam will have been worth it.

Ahmadinejad: Iran's nuclear program "irreversible"

It's really amazing to hear opponents of a strike on Iran constantly contradict the words of the very tyrant they are running interference for:

1) Western lefties always proclaim that Iran is "years away" from developing nuclear weapons. The Iranian leader in sharp contrast openly declares that they are one year away (with 3000 centrifuges) and that the process is "irreversible."

2) Lefties religiously rely on the UN as the arbiter of what is right and lawful. By contrast, Iran's leader openly laughs at the UN, declaring that he "could care not less what UN resolutions say." Lefties openly ignore this little inconvenience.

3) Lefties constantly recommend that the US "talk" and "negotiate" with Iran, as if talk will lead to a sudden Iranian surrender of their nuke ambitions. By contrast, the Iranian leader announced today that he had bluntly refused to negotiate over this issue with the US: "I, as your representative, told those who brought the message that we didn't ask for talks ... If talks are to be held, it is the Iranian nation that has to set conditions, not the arrogant and the criminals...the world must know that this nation will not give up one iota of its nuclear rights ... if they think they can get concessions from this nation, they are badly mistaken."

As much as they try, the poor lefties can't seem to get any assistance for their man Ahmadinejad. Personally, I tend to take Mr. Ahmadinejad's words far more seriously that I do the words of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid or Howard Dean.

Robertson Endorses Rudy

Biggest political news of the day, no question, is Robertson endorsing Rudy. This is a signal that Rudy is Kosher for Christian conservatives, helping bring a key constituency in to his campaign and create the classic Republican coalition of security hawks, fiscal conservatives and social conservatives that is so necessary for any Republican to succeed. The next few months will tell if it sticks for Rudy or not. We hope it does.

Saudis Offer Creative Solution to Iranian Nuke Standoff

Saudi Prince Saudi said that to defuse the crisis, Saudi Arabia and a consortium of Arab Gulf states have invited Iran to produce enriched uranium jointly, where the plant could be properly monitored by international observers. “We have proposed a solution, which is to create a consortium for all users of enriched uranium to do it in a collective manner that would distribute (nuclear fuel) according to need,” he said. “We hope the Iranians will accept this proposal.” He said that the proposed plant would be built in a neutral third country, like Switzerland and will be supervised to ensure that the level of enrichment will not be bomb grade.

This offer puts Iran in a box. They claim that their uranium enrichment program is for "peaceful" purposes only. If that is the case, then this Saudi offer is a no brainer. On the other hand, rejection of this offer would be hard evidence of the Iranian intention.
