From the David Horowitz Freedom Center: 'The Islamic Mein Kampf' (click here)

"In a rational world, American universities would lead the way in exposing the noxious roots of Islamic terrorism. Instead of psychoanalyzing Rush Limbaugh or President Bush, they would devote their attentions to what makes terrorists tick. Readers of FrontPage Magazine are uniquely educated about the unholy alliance between academia and jihadists. Thus, we have launched the Terrorism Awareness Project -- www.TerrorismAwareness.org -- to educate college students directly.

In conjunction with the organization and website, we have produced the flash movie The Islamic Mein Kampf, as well as a scholarly pamphlet by the same name written by David Meir-Levi. Together, they provide a chilling and compelling testimony to the depths of bitter Islamic hatred and the threat a growing radical Muslim population poses to Europe, Israel, the United States, the Jewish people, and the world."

VDH: John Kerry is the Ugly American

Senator Biden Steps in it...Again! Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are apparently unclean and not very smart or "mainstream"...and are ugly too

SEN. BIDEN SHOCK INTERVIEW, Referring to Obama: "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy"... Did I just get that right? Jesse Jackson and Al Sharton are not "articulate and bright and clean," and are out of the "mainstream", and that Obama is the "first" African American candidate for president who is? Is there any other way to read it? Wow! This, of course far exceeds any insensitivity expressed by Trent Lott, or any other comments from a Republican that I can remember. But have no fear; Biden is a Democrat so all is forgiven. Below is another Biden jewel, explaining how he can't go into a 7-11 or Dunkin Donuts without hearing an Indian accent.

Blair Blackmail Terror Bid Foiled

Muslim terrorists were to kidnap a British soldier on UK streets and force him to plead with Tony Blair for his life in return for a pull-out of troops from Iraq, The Sun can reveal. The soldier would have been filmed begging the PM to withdraw from Iraq and Afghanistan in a sick propaganda stunt. Army sources said the target was a British Muslim soldier in his 20s. He would eventually be beheaded on film in a sick mirror of the torture and savage killing of British hostage Ken Bigley if Mr Blair refused.

Senior security sources say the plot would have put the most unbearable blackmail pressure on the Premier to act. It would also have sent shockwaves through the entire British Armed Forces - putting the fear of God into every man and woman in uniform on or off duty. The fact that the arrests were made in Birmingham could suggest that soldiers recovering from wounds in military hospitals there might have been targeted.

Happy Ashura Festival Everyone!

I mean seriously, who are we to judge? Aren't all cultures and religions equally valid?

This day is anniversary of the battle of Karbala which resulted in martyrdom of Husayn ibn Ali, the grandson of Prophet Mohammad, by the army of Umayyad caliph,Yazid I. Yazid was the son of Muawiyah who was appointed governor of Syria by Umer, the second caliph of Sunnis. Shias believe the Battle of Karbala was between the forces of good and evil. Imam Hussain represented good while Yazid represented evil starting from Abu Bakr down to his father Muawiyah.
This day is of particular significance to Shi'a Muslims, who consider Husayn the third Imam and a rightful successor of the Prophet Muhammad. Many Shi'a make pilgrimages on Ashura to the Mashhad al-Husayn, the shrine in Karbala, Iraq that is traditionally held to be Husayn's tomb. Shi'as also express mourning by thumping their chests and crying after listening to speeches on how Husayn and his family were martyred. This is intended to connect them with Husayn's suffering and death. Husayn's martyrdom is widely interpreted by Shi'a as a symbol of the struggle.

Ouch, Tammy Bruce Flashback: "Hawaiian good luck sign"

You've got to love this jewel of a post by Tammy Bruce: You've probably heard the reports that Nancy Pelosi and Jack Murtha and other Democrats are off to Iraq on a "fact-finding mission". Am I being overly cynical in speculating their primary goals are politicking and photo-ops? With this in mind, I'm flashing back to a couple of other notorious political photo-ops.

Pictured above is a soldier who circumstantially became a prop in a Hillary Clinton photo-op. This valiant warrior, who prefers to remain anonymous, gave the well-known "duress" signal by discreetly crossing his fingers.

Facing a similarly ruthless enemy, the brave sailors of the USS Pueblo, captured by the North Koreans in 1968, surreptitiously flashed the "middle fingered salute" when being posed for propaganda photos. They clandestinely agreed that, if pressed, they would explain the gesture as a "Hawaiian good luck sign".

Washington Post: It's Wrong to Call Obama by his Full Name - 'Barack Hussein Obama'

The Washington Post mounts its editorial high horse to denounce those who use Senator Obama's middle name "Hussein" when mentioning him.

WP: IT'S BECOME a fad among some conservatives to refer to the junior senator from Illinois by his full name: Barack Hussein Obama. This would be merely juvenile if it weren't so contemptible. "Barack Hussein Obama" is apparently taboo in their editorial stylebook, though I seem to remember John Fitzgerald Kennedy and Hillary Rodham Clinton being printed with some frequency. Lyndon Baines Johnson, anyone? It seems to me that middle names have become a rather prominent part of presidential nomenclature. Evidently the Post's editors think that only some middle names are permissible. I eagerly await publication of a definitive list of those middle names which can and cannot be printed.

Renowned Princeton Professor of Middle East Studies, Bernard Lewis: Muslims 'about to take over Europe'

Islam could soon be the dominant force in a Europe which, in the name of political correctness, has abdicated the battle for cultural and religious control, Prof. Bernard Lewis, the world-renowned Middle Eastern and Islamic scholar, said on Sunday. "Europeans are losing their own loyalties and their own self-confidence," he said. "They have no respect for their own culture." Europeans had "surrendered" on every issue with regard to Islam in a mood of "self-abasement," "political correctness" and "multi-culturalism."

Brazen Assault: 4 troops abducted, then Murdered in Iraq attack

In perhaps the boldest and most sophisticated attack in four years of warfare, gunmen speaking English, wearing U.S. military uniforms and carrying American weapons abducted four U.S. soldiers last week at the provincial headquarters in the Shiite holy city of Karbala and then shot them to death."

And what about the Geneva convention? Will the ACLU be filing a lawsuit at the Hague? Will Amnesty Interntonal be complaining to the UN?

The brazen assault, 50 miles south of Baghdad, was conducted by nine to 12 gunmen posing as an American security team, the military confirmed. The attackers traveled in black GMC Suburban vehicles (the type used by U.S. government convoys), had American weapons, wore new U.S. military combat fatigues, and spoke English, according to two senior U.S. military officials as well as Iraqi officials. One Iraqi official said the leader of the assault team was blond, but no other official confirmed that.

Muslims angry over Bin Aladdin

ANGRY Muslims yesterday complained that films always portrayed them as terrorists and villains — even in the cartoon Aladdin. A string of blockbusters — even those made before Osama Bin Laden’s Twin Towers attack — were accused of giving Islam a “bad name”. The commission’s report said Arabs in movies were given “exaggerated and ridiculous accents”. And it claimed films played a crucial role in “fostering a crude and exaggerated image”.

There is no word yet if the commission is also concerned whether real terrorism and beheading video's on Al Jazeera may also be giving Islam a bad name. They might want to ponder that angle as well?

John Edwards - Limousine liberal

I love it when people make it big in America! It's hypocrisy that rubs me the wrong way. Presidential candidate John Edwards, the champion of meaningless platitudes, who always talks about the "two Americas," one for the rich and one for the poor; the man who is second only to Al Gore in his concern for "global warming" is about to move into his new digs... The largest house in North America! Please notice how an entire forest had to be bulldozed to make way for the new pad. Where will Bambi live now? The heating bill alone will likely cause the melting of the great polar ice shelf. And the "no trespassing" signs don't seem very friendly. Maybe it's just me.

Mona Charen: "The key paragraph in President Bush's State of the Union speech was this: This is not the fight we entered in Iraq, but it is the fight we're in. Every one of us wishes this war were over and won. Yet it would not be like us to leave our promises unkept, our friends abandoned, and our own security at risk. Ladies and gentlemen: On this day, at this hour, it is still within our power to shape the outcome of this battle. Let us find our resolve, and turn events toward victory."

Weenies in US Senate Pass a “Non-binding” Resolution Opposing New Iraq Strategy

Sending a comforting message to the enemy that the United States is hopelessly divided, the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee passed a “NON-BINDING RESOLUTION” opposing President Bush’s efforts to stabilize Iraq with a modest addition of US troops. The resolution proclaimed that the administrations efforts are “not in the national interest.” Of course, if these Senators had an ounce of self respect they would simply pass a law that would de-fund and outlaw any troop surge. If it’s truly not in the national interest, why bother with a meaningless non-binding resolution? Why not act in the "national interest" with a real resolution? The answer is simple; a non-binding resolution allows petty politicians to do what they do best: to play politics, to have it both ways and to grandstand without having to take a real stand. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Iran's President Ahmadinejad Threatens: The US & Israel will Soon Die

This kind of language from the Iranian President, is of course nothing new. It is posted on an official Iranian news site and quotes the Iranian President directly, so there is absolutely no effort to even disguise the intention. I did find the prediction that the USA is in imminent danger of destruction interesting. Most Americans are unaware that the Iranian regime is calling not only for the destruction of Israel, but for America's destruction. There are those who counsel us to simply laugh this all off as mere blustering and ignore it as if it didn't happen at all. Is that a wise approach? Please forgive this Neocon for refusing to pretend that these kinds of threats are meaningless and empty, coming from a regime that is racing to develop nuclear weapons and has an obsession with suicidal martyrdom in the name of resurrecting the twelfth Imam.

The Question of Carter's Cash

Carters cash? The government of Saudi Arabia and the foundation of Saudi prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud, whose offer of $10 million to New York City just after Sept. 11 was rejected by then-mayor Rudy Giuliani because it came wrapped in the suggestion that America rethink its support of Israel. Other big donors listed in the Carter Center’s annual reports include the Sultanate of Oman and the sultan himself; the government of the United Arab Emirates; and a brother of Osama bin Laden, Bakr BinLadin, “for the Saudi BinLadin Group.” Of lesser heft, but still large, are contributions from assorted development funds of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, as well as of OPEC, whose membership includes oil-rich Arab states, Nigeria (whose government is also a big donor to the Carter Center), and Venezuela (whose anti-American strongman Hugo Chávez benefited in a 2004 election from the highly controversial monitoring efforts of the Carter Center). The king of Saudi Arabia, BCCI scandal banker Agha Hasan Abedi, and Arafat pal Hasib Sabbagh.

All this might be less disturbing had Carter confined his post-presidential efforts to such good works as vanquishing the guinea worm. But for years he has run his own mini-presidency — complete with a series of attempts to outflank or shape the policies of sitting presidents. Regardless of whatever room for murk the law allows, full financial disclosure is what sound judgment demands. The Carter Center itself makes much in promotional materials of its efforts to strengthen democracies by “promoting government transparency.” Is Carter so rigidly certain of his rectitude that he believes himself exempt from his own preaching?

Gingrich: Israel Faces Nuclear Holocaust; Romney: Iran Must Be Stopped!

The Israeli people are facing the threat of a nuclear Holocaust, former US Speaker of the House of Representatives Newt Gingrich warned the Herzliya Conference on Tuesday afternoon. Meanwhile, he said, the United States could lose a few million people or a number of cities to a terrorist attack with weapons of mass destruction. Gingrich, who addressed the conference via satellite from the United States, said he thought Israel's existence was under threat again for the first time in 40 years. "Israel is in the greatest danger it has been in since 1967. Prior to '67, many wondered if Israel would survive. After '67, Israel seemed military dominant, despite the '73 war. I would say we are (now) back to the question of survival," Gingrich said.

He added that the United States could "lose two or three cities to nuclear weapons, or more than a million to biological weapons." Gingrich added that in such a scenario, "freedom as we know it will disappear, and we will become a much grimmer, much more militarized, dictatorial society."

"People are greatly underestimating how dangerous the world is becoming. I'll repeat it, three nuclear weapons are a second Holocaust. Our enemies are quite explicit in their desire to destroy us. They say it publicly. We are sleepwalking through this process as though it's only a problem of communication," Gingrich said.

The former House speaker expressed concern that the Israeli and American political establishments were not fully equipped to take stock of the current threat level.

"Our enemies are fully as determined as Nazi Germany, and more determined that the Soviets. Our enemies will kill us the first chance they get. There is no rational ability to deny that fact. It's very clear that the problems are larger and more immediate than the political systems in Israel or the US are currently capable of dealing with.

"We don't have the right language, goals, structure, or operating speed, to defeat our enemies. My hope is that being this candid and direct, I could open a dialogue that will force people to come to grips with how serious this is, how real it is. If that fails, at least we will be intellectually prepared for the correct results once we have lost one or more cities," Gingrich added. "citizens who do not wake up every morning and think about the possible catastrophic civilian casualties are deluding themselves."

"If we knew we would tomorrow lose Boston, San Francisco, or Atlanta, what would we do? Today, those threats are probably one, two, five years away? Although you can't be certain when our enemies will break out," he warned.

Meanwhile, speaking at the same forum, presidential candidate Mitt Romney said that Iran could not be compared to the former Soviet threat, because the Islamic Republic was following a suicidal path. "For all of the Soviets' deep flaws, they were never suicidal. Soviet commitment to national survival was never in question. That assumption cannot be made to an irrational regime (Iran) that celebrates martyrdom," he said. The former governor called for the utilization of the widespread opposition held by the Iranian people to their own regime, in order to facilitate regime change, while also adding that "the military option remains on the table. Iran must be stopped. Iran can be stopped,"

BENNY MORRIS: It will all be over, for Israel, in a Few Minutes

One bright morning, in five or 10 years' time, perhaps during a regional crisis, perhaps out of the blue, a day or a year or five years after Iran's acquisition of the bomb, the mullahs in Qom will convoke in secret session, under a portrait of the steely-eyed Ayatollah Khomeini, and give President Ahmadinejad, by then in his second or third term, the go ahead.

The orders will go out, and the Shihab III and IV missiles will take off for Tel Aviv, Beersheba, Haifa, and Jerusalem, and probably some military sites, including Israel's half-dozen air and alleged nuclear missile bases. Some of the Shihabs will be nuclear-tipped, perhaps even with multiple warheads. Others will be dupes, packed merely with biological or chemical agents, or old newspapers, to draw off or confuse Israel's anti-missile batteries and Home Guard units.

With a country the size and shape of Israel, an elongated 8,000 square miles, probably four or five hits will suffice: no more Israel. A million or more Israelis, in the greater Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Jerusalem areas, will die immediately. Millions will be seriously irradiated. Israel has about 7 million inhabitants. No Iranian will see or touch an Israeli. It will be quite impersonal.

To judge from Mr. Ahmadinejad's continuous reference to Palestine and the need to destroy Israel, and his denial of the first Holocaust, he is a man obsessed. He shares this with the mullahs: All were brought up on the teachings of Khomeini, a prolific anti-Semite who often fulminated against "the Little Satan." To judge from Mr. Ahmadinejad's organization of the Holocaust cartoons competition and the Holocaust denial conference, the Iranian president's hatreds are deep and, of course, shameless.

He is willing to gamble the future of Iran or even of the whole Muslim Middle East in exchange for Israel's destruction. No doubt he believes that Allah, somehow, will protect Iran from an Israeli nuclear response or an American counterstrike. He may well believe that his missiles will so pulverize the Jewish state that it will be unable to respond. And, with his deep contempt for the weak-kneed West, he is unlikely to take seriously the threat of American nuclear retaliation.

Or he may be willing to pay the price. As his mentor, Khomeini, put it in a speech in Qom in 1980: "We do not worship Iran, we worship Allah. … I say, let" Iran "burn … provided Islam emerges triumphant. …"

As with the first, the second Holocaust will have been preceded by decades of preparation of hearts and minds by Iranian and Arab leaders, Western intellectuals, and press outlets. All the messages have served to demonize Israel. Muslims have been taught: "The Zionists/the Jews are the embodiment of evil" and "Israel must be destroyed." And Westerners were instructed: "Israel is a racist oppressor state" and "Israel, in this age of multi-culturalism, is an anachronism and superfluous."

The Iranians will launch their rockets. And, as with the first Holocaust, the international community will do nothing. It will all be over, for Israel, in a few minutes.

Sunni's Vow to Go Nuclear Because of US failure to Stop Shiite Iran's Nuclear Program

"Arab countries have complained for years about Israel's nuclear program and reported arsenal, but it never prompted them to seek programs of their own. But Iran's progress in building nuclear facilities has sparked a rush among Arab nations to look at programs of their own, raising the possibility of a dangerous proliferation of nuclear technology — or even weapons — in the volatile Middle East."

All of this of course is the clearest proof that in reality, Arab countries have never viewed Israel as an expansionist hostile threat, even with its arsenal of nuclear weapons. For all their public compalaints, the Arab regimes know that Israel is the one civilized and stabalizing force in the region. On the other hand, the mere possiblility that Iran, (which represent the hated Shiite rival), is on the verge of developing nuclear weapons and all hell breaks loose in the Sunni Arab world, sparking a mad rush to develop nuclear programs of their own. This is the proliferation nightmere that most experts fear most. A failure to halt Iran's aggressive march to the bomb is a sure ticket to a massive counter nuclear program in the Sunni nations, with unlimited oil resources to pay for it. And you can bet your bottom dollar that France and Russia will line up for the opportunity to sell it to them.

Democrats Seek to Bar U.S. Attack on Iran

Does the US Congress wish the administration to sit back and simply watch Iran become a Nuclear power? An attack on the Iranian nuclear program could very well be the only tool available left to prevent a nuclear armed Iran, with all that that implies. And what about the element of surprise? Would a Congressional approval not eliminate the element of surprise and endanger troops should an attack prove the only option left? Or conversely, would a rejection of such an approval simply tell Iran that it's OK to develop nuclear weapons because nobody is going to prevent it anyway?

Perhaps the Administration should immediately seek an open-ended authorization to attack Iran, and see how the votes go. The resolution could read something like this:

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF FORCE:

Where by: Iran is a nation currently controlled by religious extremists who deny the holocaust and threaten to "wipe" another nation "off the face of the map."

Where by: Iran is a well known sponsor of terrorism, is on the US State Departments list of terrorist sponsoring nations, funds Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Mahedi Army In Iraq, and supports insurgent activity against the United States.

Where by: Iran continuously uses (and has for decades) belligerent language and threats against the United States, describing the United States as "The Great Satan," allies itself with every enemy of the United States and publicly seeks to harm US interests at every opportunity.

Let it therefore be resolved that: The United States Congress authorizes the administration to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons by whatever means necessary, including use of military force if necessary.

Let the Democrats go on record and history will judge. Somehow I suspect that if such a resolution were to be offered on the floor of the House, it would pass overwhelmingly, despite all of the public posturing.

Among those organizations and individuals are the American-Israel Political Action Committee, Anti-defamation league, American Jewish Committee, American Jewish Congress, B'nai Brith, and also the Jewish Council on Public Affairs, along with such individuals as Steven Emerson, Daniel Pipes, Rita Katz, Steven Schwartz, Evan Kohlman, and others who have made public statments that have contributed to the creation of an environment in the United States that is hostile to Arab Americans and Muslims, leading to acts of deprivation and violations of civil liberties and also civil rights."

Wow! There is no word yet if this group also blames the Jews for 9/11, the shooting at the Seattle Jewish Community Center, the shooting at the EL Al Ticket counter at LAX, the Millennium Bomber, the first World Trade Center bombing, the shooting of RFK etc...etc...

Meanwhile in other news, the Arab American Institute (AAI) is putting the Squeeze on CNN and ABC to fire "Islamophobe" Glenn Beck. Beck (who is Morman) is accused by the the AAI of being overly enthusiastic about fighting Islamic extremism.

Exclusive: Handwritten Note From Jimmy Carter Interceding for Nazi SS Guard Proven to Have Murdered Jews

We now have a copy of the note that Jimmy Carter sent to the U.S. Justice Department's Office of Special Investigation, interceding on behalf of a Nazi SS Guard. We (It Shines for all) reported on this story this morning.

Carter's note (above) is attached to a letter from the daughter of the convicted Nazi SS Guard to Mr. and Mrs. Carter, asking for them to help the Nazi SS Guard. Mr. Carter sent the letter to the Justice Department's Office of Special Investigations, with the following note attached:

To Director, O.S.I. I hope that, in cases like
this, that special consideration can be given to
affected families for humanitarian reasons.
Signed: Jimmy Carter

So who was this Nazi that Carter wanted the O.S.I. to take pity on?

Bartesch, who had immigrated to the U.S. and lived in Chicago, admitted to the court that he had voluntarily joined the Waffen SS and had served in the notorious SS Death’s Head Division at the Mauthausen concentration camp where, at the hands of Bartesch and his cohorts, many thousands of prisoners were gassed, shot, starved and worked to death. He also confessed to having concealed his service at the infamous camp from U.S. immigration officials. Of course, the many thousands who died by the hands of the SS guards will not have a family member writing to Jimmy Carter asking for "humanitarian" releif.

British Muslims at the crossroad

CNN delivers a strong expose' on the radicalizing of British Muslims. As much as CNN tries to softball or "balance" the article with the usual "it's only a minority of Muslims" argument, the radicals words speak far louder than any attempt to by MSM to marginalize them. In their own words from todays article:

  • "Prophet Mohammed's message to nonbelievers is: "I come to slaughter all of you."
  • "We drink the blood of the enemy, and we can face them anywhere. That is Islam and that is jihad."
  • "In war, people die. People don't make love; they kill each other,"
  • "blowing people up is quite cool"
  • "When a bomb goes off in Baghdad or in Afghanistan and innocent women and children are killed over there, who cares for them? So if a bomb goes off in America or in London, what's wrong with that?"
  • "All of the world belongs to Allah, and we will live according to the Sharia wherever we are, This is a fundamental belief of the Muslims."
  • "One day, the Sharia will be implemented in Britain. It's a matter of time."
  • "I happen to be in an ideological and political war, my brothers in al Qaeda and other Mujahedeen are involved in a military campaign."
