Iran: Supporters of Israel to Recieve "Final Response" By October 12th; OJ and Britney more Important

In a rambling message from Iran's official news agency, the government spokesman stated that "Supporters of the Zionist regime will definitely receive the final response for their support on that day [Oct. 12th]." Some my construed that as a threat.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Ahmadinejad has requested that the US arrange for him to visit ground zero in New York during his visit to the United Nations General Assembly on or around September 24th. The US taxpayer is expected to pick up the bill for his security: It should be noted that the US State Department classifies Iran as "the world's most active state sponsor of terrorism," and Iran is on the official US list of state sponsors of terrorism.

More news: The deputy commander of Iran's air force said today that plans have been drawn up to bomb Israel in case Iran's nuclear program is attacked. "The whole territory of this regime [Israel] is within the range of our missiles. Moreover, we can attack their territory with our fighter bombers as a response to any attack."

Further information on the recent Israeli air-strike over Syria continues to leak out to main-stream media. US officials tell CBS News the strike destroyed a building Israeli intelligence believed housed nuclear equipment from North Korea. Israel, meanwhile declared today that it now views Gaza as an "enemy entity" as a result of continued rocket bombardment from Gaza on Israeli towns. The legal implication of such a declaration is that Israel will be entitled to cut off water and electric power that it supplies to Gaze should the rocket attacks continue. The Secretary of the UN declared that cutting off Israeli services to Gaza would "violate international law". No word yet on if the continued rocket attacks of Israeli civilian populations from Gaza violates "international law."

What we do know violates international law, is when Syria methodically assassinates the democratically elected representatives of Lebanon, as they did again today. At least seven people, including anti-Syrian members of Parliament were killed Wednesday when a car bomb exploded in a Christian suburb of the capital Beirut. Another 20 people were wounded.

Britain's Jane Defense Weekly, a highly credible source on all matters of military intelligence, reports Syrian defense sources as saying an explosion recently took place during a test to fit a Scud C missile with a mustard-gas warhead in northern Syria. It quoted the sources as saying the explosion occurred when fuel caught fire in the missile production laboratory. The blast dispersed chemical agents (including VX, Sarin nerve agents and mustard blister agent) across the storage facility and outside, the publication quoted the sources as saying. The magazine said that, in addition to the 15 Syrian troops, dozens of Iranian weapons engineers were killed. That's the good news.

Meanwhile, in the US, the media are converging on the really important stories: OJ Simpson, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. Both CNN and MSNBC have OJ as their lead story, with all of this going on. YUCK!
