America - Saterday Night

One more reason to love America. Old but still great. Two Jewish kids from New York who make it big. Many foreigners must find it strange that American artists will compose songs about America with such positive passion, even if it isn't meant to be "patriotic" in any direct, conventional sense, the love is still clearly felt. Where does the passion to capture the essence of America in music come from, and why do we never hear the modern European counterpart to such songs? Of course Europe gave us classical music for which the world will forever owe a debt.
