Lieberman congratualates General David Petraeus and General Raymond Odierno

"You have earned your place along side Americas great military leaders; Grant, Sherman, Eisenhower, Patton...."

Hillary: I'm still in it because Obama Could be Assassinated Just like Bobby Kennedy

"We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. You know I just, I don't understand it. [why people are asking me to get out]"
Hillary Clinton - May 23 2008
I really do want to give Mrs. Clinton the benefit of the doubt here...people utter things in the heat of a campaign that may be true but are better left unsaid. But I sense that this comment came from deep down somewhere in the darkest corners of her mind. Nobody just blurts out this kind of thing in public. She had been thinking about it... hopefully not hoping for such a horrible tragedy, but one cannot help but wonder if her ceaseless ambition, her devastating sense of disappointment, hasn't finally driven her to the brink of madness. And this at a moment when Bobby Kennedy's brother Ted is diagnosed with brain cancer.

Maxine Waters threatens to nationalize U.S. oil industries

"For this liberal it's going to be all about taking over your industry." They just can't hide their communist tendencies. They didn't create the industry, they don't own it, but they think they are entitled to arbitrarily steel it for "the good of the people."

They complain about high oil prices but oppose taking the single most important step that would help reduce prices, and that is opening up the coasts and Alaska for drilling. Currently, 40% of known US oil and natural gas resources are off limits to drilling.

Senator Harkin Steps in it Again: McCain is Unfit to be President

Why is McCain unfit? Because McCain comes from a military family:

“He has a hard time thinking beyond that...I think he’s trapped in that. Everything is looked at from his life experiences, from always having been in the military, and I think that can be pretty dangerous. It’s one thing to have been drafted and served, but another thing when you come from generations of military people and that’s just how you’re steeped, how you’ve learned, how you’ve grown up.”
Only a lefty Democrat could consider service to ones country a disqualifier. Washington, Jackson, Grant, Teddy Roosevelt, Eisenhower... anyone? Further proof that liberalism is a mental disorder.

Verbal assaults directed at uniformed [military] personnel

UPDATE: Are Soldiers Really Being Assaulted on the DC Metro? Memo Could be a hoax

Washington D.C.

Dept of Transportation Federal Transit Administration sends:

Recently, there have been local incidents in which military personnel have been verbally assaulted while commuting on the Metro. Uniformed members have been approached by individuals expressing themselves as anti-government, shouting anti-war sentiments, and using racial slurs against minorities.

In one instance, a member was followed onto the platform by an individual who continued to berate her as she exited the
metro station. Thus far, these incidents have occurred in the vicinity of the Reagan National Airport and Eisenhower Ave metro stations on the yellow line, however, military members should be vigilant and aware of their surroundings at all times while in mass transit.

Should you be approached by any individuals expressing anti-government/anti-war sentiments, or any other types of direct verbal assault, immediately notify your local police jurisdiction. If riding metro, exit the train at the next stop, distance yourself from the individual, and notify the Metro Transit Police Department.

For this and any other suspicious activity, NGB personnel are also asked to notify the Pentagon Command Center at (703)697-1001, and the NGB Antiterrorism/Force Protection Officer, MSgt Cyril Charity, at (703)607-2396 or (571)239-1109 (after duty hours).

Here are a few friendly reminders of personal protective measures that can help you to stay safe:

-If possible, do not commute in uniform (military members) -Do not display DoD building passes, "hot cards", or personal identification in open view outside of the workplace -Do not discuss specifics about your occupation to outside solicitors

-Always try to remain in well lit, well populated train cars if traveling via metro -Be vigilant at all times!

Chelsea Robbed by Manchester United

Manchester United secured the prestigious European Champions League championship moments ago by stealing the tittle from Chelsea. Chelsea were clearly the better team. They dominated the field most of the game and had many more scoring opportunities. They landed multiple shots on the post and led in the penalty kicks after the game ended in a tie after double overtime. Manchester simply lucked out, they did not earn it, it was Chelsea that blew it and handed Manchester the title on a silver platter, in much the same way that a store owner hands over his merchandise to thieves by failing to take minimal precautions like locking up before heading home for the evening. Very frustrating.

Meanwhile West London erupts in violence:

Holy S%#@! Pat Buchanan Blames World War II on Poland

"From March to August 1939, Hitler tried to negotiate Danzig. But the Poles, confident in their British war guarantee, refused. So, Hitler cut his deal with Stalin, and the two invaded and divided Poland. The cost of the war that came of a refusal to negotiate Danzig was millions of Polish dead, the Katyn massacre, Treblinka, Sobibor, Auschwitz, the annihilation of the Home Army in the Warsaw uprising of 1944, and 50 years of Nazi and Stalinist occupation, barbarism and terror."
So according to Pat, if only the Pole's had negotiated Danzig, this whole World War II thing, the Holocaust, the Battle of Britain, Pearl Harbor, Stalingrad, Normandy...all of it could have been averted. This man is a disgrace to himself and to MSNBC who give him face time on the tube.

Completely Irresponsible Report from Israeli Media: "Bush to Attack Iran"

Israeli Army radio reported as fact that President Bush intends to attack Iran's nuclear facilities before the end of his term. The Jerusalem Post picked up the story and amplified it, then Drudge Report put it up in bold red letters.

I'm a big fan of freedom of the press... but seriously! If the report is true, it is an unforgivable exposure of secret discussions, it jeopardizes personnel and serves advance notice to Tehran. It directly endangers the national security of the United States, and even more so the national security of Israel. If the report is not true, or just plain guess-work with no real basis in fact one way or the other, it is a grossly irresponsible disclosure. Either way, whoever gave the green light for this story should be placed in a job with far less responsibility by the grown-ups at those outlets.

Readers of this blog know that I support taking actions against Iran's nuclear facilities, and Know that I'm a strong pro-Israel blogger. But sometimes I just have to roll my eyes at the sheer stupidity and irresponsibility to come out of the Israeli press. Ideally, I would really just prefer to wake up one morning, turn on the TV and learn that Iran's nuclear facilities have suffered a terminal setback.

Congress Votes to Sue OPEC

Only a group of American lefty lawyer/politicians could possibly come up with this one. They've got OPEC shaking in their boots now. What's next? Maybe they can send Hans Blix over to serve OPEC with the lawsuit:

Just think of Blix as the US Congress, and Kim Jong Ill as OPEC, and you begin to get the picture.

Senator Kennedy Diagnosed with Brian Cancer…Possibly Inoperable

Of course, the Neocon Express wishes Senator Kennedy strength at this difficult time and will be praying for his recovery. Being in my mid 40's I have no recollection of the political world in which Senator Kennedy was not present. I had the opportunity to meet Senator Kennedy and his wife Victoria at a private home in Los Angeles in the mid-90’s, and though we were only able to chat for a short while, he was kind enough to follow up a few weeks later with a personal hand-written note referring to our conversation. Needless to say, that impressed me greatly. That he would take a moment to write a few kind words to someone whom he knew did not share his political inclinations is telling indeed.

On the political side of things, I shudder to think of the kinds of ugly words that would be uttered on left-leaning blogs like the Daily Kos or Huffington Post, should such terrible news had happened to say…Dick Cheney? Again, I wish Senator Kennedy a quick and full recovery.

You Can Take Obama out of the Left, But You Can't Take the Left Out of Obama

He wants talks with Iran and trade with Cuba... but opposes free trade with Columbia. The Reverend Wright was OK for 20 years but Imus should be fired immediately. He wants us to stop driving SUV's, eat less, and keep our thermostats off of 72. He opposes Hezbollah violence because it "undermines their legitimate claims." He's a feminist who calls female reporters "sweety". he points to McCain's association with a number of lobbyists... but his association with terrorists, America haters and fraudsters is "guilt by association." He complains that his opponents wife hasn't released her tax return and warns others to "lay off my wife" when they quote her accurately. He defends himself hysterically against being labeled an appeaser when no one called him an appeaser (a study in guilt). He preaches tolerance while mocking small-town folks as bitter people who find comfort in their guns and religion. He's against racism except when referring to his own Grandmother...who he calls "your typical white person." He says we should all come together after attending 20 years of hate-filled sermons at a church that preaches racial superiority... Etc...Etc... I am truly amazed that this man has gotten as far as he has.

They think this is Pakistan. This is what happens at publicly funded Muslim schools. Where is the ACLU when you really need them?

Obama & Appeasement

if you don't know who this person is, and what the significance of the paper that he is waiving is, then you are not qualified to comment on the word "appeasement". My guess is that 98% of Obama supporters have no idea who this person is:
They certainly don't understand who this person is but they do know they want to talk with him:
And they most certainly love these people with religious fervor:

Obama: Iran is a tiny threat..."not serious"

The problem is that to most simple folks, saying that you want to "talk" with your adversary sounds completely reasonable. To be horrified by such an idea as it relates to Iran, one has to have a working knowledge of history and strong grasp of the mentality of radical Islam. Most Americans do not have such a grasp and Obama knows it... so he creates ridicules parallels to the Soviet Empire, where the threat was symmetrical, mutually assured destruction (MAD) was a credible doctrine, and the idea of the Soviets passing on nuclear weapons to terrorists was extremely minimal. In this case the threat is asymmetrical, MAD is not a credible deterrence, and the possibility of passing on nuclear weapons to shady third party proxies is not only a possibility but a likelihood. All of that does not even include Iran's public threats to destroy Israel, its geographic chock hold on the worlds most important oil shipping lane (the straits of Hormuz) and its religious desire to make Shia Islam the dominant power in the region.

In many ways it is a greater threat than the Soviet Empire. Obama's ignorance is stunning but the simplicity of his message works in his favor.

This is Why Soldiers Should Ware a Helmet in a Combat Zone

First, The Marine in question was uninjured. I remember the biggest thing I used to bitch about in the Military was the requirement to ware a helmet. To this day I think I'm losing hair because of it. The incident in question was probably a reaction to a surprise attack. The Marine probably had no time to put on a helmet or flack jacket. My VP Predictions

I would say for the Dem VP its Sam Nunn or Jim Web… maybe on a long shot, Ed Rendell who can help in crucial Pennsylvania. Obama needs a traditional “white guy” with national security credentials. Nunn and Web may have that, plus some Southern appeal.

For the Republican’s I would go with Newt Gingrich (McCain at the top already has all of the “moderate” credentials that a GOP ticket might need). Gingrich is a Pitt Bull with a sharp tongue who fires up the base and delivers the South. He also brings pizzazz and intellectual firepower. He also brings a bit of good-old Newt controversy and unpredictability, for the good and the bad (on balance for the good). He is widely known and will not need to be introduced to voters. Otherwise, the safe bet is Charlie Crist of Florida. Leiberman is a possible long-shot should the GOP decide to gamble completely for the middle and take the base for granted, which may or may not work.

Obama's Stupid Quote of the Day:

"We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK."
Do Americana's need permission from other countries to drive an SUV, eat whatever we want, and keep our house at whatever temperature we wish? Apparently, in Obama's world, he controls what you drive, your calorie count and your thermostat.

Senator Harkin: "Nothing Happened" After we Left Vietnam

Senator McCain reacts to the Liberal interpretation of Vietnam History:

An old incident, but worth revisiting:

Senator Harkin described Southeast Asia following the US withdraw as "Nothing Happened." That's pretty close to being a holocaust denier. Senator Harkin was trying to make a point about how a US withdraw from Iraq would lead to no sever consequences....Just like after our Vietnam withdraw, "nothing happened."

How quickly these lefties forget: The US withdrawal led directly to Millions of refugees (many of whom became known as "boat people), three million murdered in Cambodia, about one third of the entire Vietnamese population put in prison camps and well over 165,000 Vietnamese executed... is the same in liberal-land as "nothing happened." Senator Harkin then goes on to refer to how we now enjoy the cruise ships and wonder beaches of Vietnam. This man is beneath contempt and McCain's reaction is spot on.
H/T: Say Anything

More of the liberal mind at work; Historic revisionism also occurred recently as an Editor for the Seattle Times described WWII history this way: "What Hitler was demanding at Munich was not unreasonable", in reference to Hitlers demands that Czechoslovakia relinquish its territory to Germany known as the Sudetenland, because most people living there spoke German.

Jon Voight: "Obama is Dangerous"

Calling himself a former liberal Democrat, Voight recently endorsed Republican Sen. John McCain in the US presidential race. He added that he would prefer Sen. Hillary Clinton over Sen. Barack Obama, citing Obama as "dangerous."

"He's really extreme, but he's always trying to say something to cover it. He's like a Leftist from the '60s. I was on the Left, that's why I know who he is. He says he'll talk to everybody [like Iran], but it's simpleminded candy he's throwing to the extreme left wing. He'd be the biggest disaster for Israel - and all democracies that I can think of."

Google co-founder Sergey Brin: My family left Russia because of anti-Semitism

This is just an amazing story. Even Sergey Brin was mostly unaware of his parents struggles during his childhood. In the end, we have all benefited from this family's drama. Sergey is the President of Technology at Google and has a net worth estimated at $18.5 billion as of March 9, 2007, making him the 26th richest person in the world and the 5th richest person in the United States, together with Larry Page. He is also the fourth-youngest billionaire in the world. A remarkable achievement by any standard.

Obama Meets Secretly With Radical Imam, Hassan Qazwini

Imam: "May the word of Allah defeat the infidel and all of those dumb Americans who are voting for you. May Allah continue to grant you the talent to keep fooling those stupid infidels in the coming primaries."

O: "You know that you can count on me as always...I may still have to say a few things in public to fool the infidel, but you know you will be able to count on me after this silly election."

Barack Obama met secretly with a controversial Imam this week in Michigan.
Imam Hassan Qazwini has hosted Louis Farrakhan at his mosque and is close to the Hezbollah Spiritual Leader who issued the fatwa to blow up 300 U.S. Marines and embassy officials in 1983. Imam Hassan Qazwini, head of the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn, met privately a few days ago with Sen. Barack Obama at Macomb Community College on May 14, 2008 (Detroit Free Press). H/T: Gateway Pundit

Of course, the words at the top are my own, but the secret meeting was real and not covered by the national press. You will find this info almost only on blogs.

A commenter suggested that because Imam Hassan Qazwini also met President Bush, I have been taken for a ride. Of course I know that the Imam met President Bush, as you can see in the below photo. Of course, I don't approve of it, but Bush's meeting was in public, not in private, nor during a political campaign when the candidate is looking for support in exchange for promises and reassurances, which is the point of the post. I don't think any reader with half a brain would miss that.

Obama...Kinda Like Jim Jones

Obama draws the kind of record crowds unseen in modern US politics. Some have described the devotion of his fans to that of another politician in the early 30's in Germany:

Meanwhile, the media-gushing over Obama never seems to end, with Men's Fitness Magazine naming Obama as one of the nations top 25 fittest men. Wow! TOP 25 in the Country! Gosh darn-it, they looked under every stone and couldn't come up with anyone fitter than...Barack Obama.

More Lies

The man can just say anything, and there is zero accountability in the press.

Jamie Rubin is a Liar

I have always disliked this creep, now married to Christiane Amanpour of CNN. Jamie was caught red handed lying today by passing on edited video tape portraying John McCain as having promoted the idea of direct, unconditional talks with Hamas. The full video shows a different story than that portrayed in the version edited by Rubin. In any event, Ruben, working for the Obama Campaign, put on his "journalism" hat to serve his candidate.

Here’s what Rubin initially included:

Jamie Rubin: “Do you think that American diplomats should be operating the way they have been in the past, in working with the Palestinian government if Hamas is in now charge?”
Sen. John McCain: “They’re the government and sooner or later we‘re going to have to deal with them in one way or another, and I understand why this administration and previous administrations had such antipathy towards Hamas is because of their dedication to violence and the things they not only espouse but practice, so, but it’s a new reality in the Middle East. And I think the lesson is people want security and a decent life and a decent future then they want democracy. Fatah was not giving them that.”

And here’s what Rubin left out:

Rubin: “So should the United States be dealing with that new reality through normal diplomatic contacts to get the job done for the United States?”
Sen. McCain: “I think the United States should take a step back, see what they do when they form their government, see what their policies are, and see the ways that we can engage with them, and if there aren’t any, there may be a hiatus. But I think part of the relationship is going to be dictated by how Hamas acts, not how the United States acts.”

Here's the full, unedited quote:

Context: The interview was conducted shortly after Hamas was elected into power by the Palestinians, before Hamas took over the Gaza Strip, before Isreal withdrew from Gaza, and before the endless firing of rockets from Gaza into Israel. Rubin did not disclose this context... But even if the interview was held yesterday, the full interview is completely different from the picture painted by the material edited by Rubin.

The only conclusion possible: Jamie Rubin edited the tape to present a false impression of McCain's policy. Jamie Rubin is a lying sack of political hack.

Obama’s Reaction is A psychological Study in Guilt
