Smoking in the White House is A-OK, Smoking in the US Military is Not

It looks like the Obama Pentagon is on its way to banning smoking in the US military because smoking in a war zone could be bad for a soldiers health; forget all those artillery shells and bullets flying around.

In the meantime, the smoker-in-chief, Barack Obama, has no problem lighting up whenever possible. Smoking in the White House is A-OK; smoking in a war zone is unhealthy.

Obama: "I Have the Blood of Africa Within Me"

It is one thing to have pride in ones background. It is quite another thing to loudly focus on how the "blood" of ones race runs through you. Isn't African blood, Aryan blood, Jewish blood, European blood, Asian Blood... etc... all red? The Presidents public proclamations about the ethnic "Blood" that "runs through him" seems a little creepy and would be totally unacceptable if there wasn't such a double standard that this President is held to. And where would our President possibly have learned that focusing on his "African blood" is to be encouraged? Perhaps 20 years of listening to this, had its effect.

Israel Stuns Russia in Davis Cup

Taking a 2-0 lead in best of five, really a stunning achievement in front of a crowd of over 10,000. Russia has won the Davis Cup a few times in the past few years, and the US has won it over 30 times. Unfortunately, the US is down 2-0 to Croatia, also a stunning development.

UPDATE: Israel sweeps powerhouse Russia in Davis Cup, reaches semi-finals.

Justice Ginsberg: Abortion was Legalized to Limit the Population of Yucky People

You see folks, this is how the liberal mind works. In an interview with the New York Times, Supreme Court Justice Ginsberg had to say this about abortion:

"Frankly, I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of."
Now, normally, these kinds of sick attitudes are kept under wraps because us "stupid" Conservatives simply don't have the sophisticated Liberal capacity to rationalize this sort of thing. But every once in a while there is a slip of the tongue, revealing what really goes on in their perverted minds.

In addition to the moral depravity of killing babies to limit the population of undesirables, Ginsberg implies that the Constitution was not the primary guide for the decision, but a simple policy concern "about population growth". She seems to have no problem with unelected judges addressing policy concerns, the Constitution be dammed.

Yucky American President Reaches Out to Yet Another Yucky President... again

In the 'how much damage can I inflict on America in four years' game, Obama has pressed the flesh with Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, he is trying to reinstate the deposed tinpot dictator of Honduras. He is desperate to hop in bed with Iran's Ahamadinejad, he can't stop apologizing for America wherever he goes. Yet the yucky President of the United States will not stop until he embraces every murdering thug on the planet. It's a compulsive thing. Today's Obama dictator photo-op was with Libya's Muammar Gaddafi.

Related news; In what many believe is the beginning of a flood, Obama has decided that 1,350 Palestinian Muslim Arabs will be resettled in the US, mostly in southern California, starting this fall. What could go wrong?

"The Earth Has Been Here for 6,000 Years"

Charles Johnson over at Little Green Footballs seems a bit overly obsessed with the 'evolution vs. creation' debate for my taste, but when he posts a video clip of a stunningly ignorant State Senator talking about how "the Earth has been around for 6,000 years", you really have to wonder about the sanity of our public leaders. I mean people are entitled to their personal beliefs, but are not entitled to make up their own "facts", unchallenged in the public arena. Anybody willing to suspend all rational thought to that degree should not be anywhere near real power. I suggest that Arizona Republican State Senator Sylvia read the following book as a starter.

The irony, of course is that she’s talking about uranium mining, and it’s through the radioactive decay of uranium that we know the Earth is billions of years old. And she also praises technological achievements!

Israel's Natural Gas Find Bigger Than Expected

Noble Energy announced that the natural gas find off the coast of Israel is about 30% larger than expected; enough to supply all of Israel's gas needs for about 20 years. Noble CEO Charles Davidson also estimates that the probability of finding additional large natural gas reserves off of the Israeli coast has increased exponentially. Full-scale development has been approved and funded, and the gas should begin to flow by 2012. It is hard to understate how this changes Israel's strategic situation for the better. I wonder if the Obama administration will call the gas platforms "Jewish settlements".

It Begins: Israel Dropping Purchase of US Weapons Systems

The Israel Navy has shelved long-held plans to purchase Lockheed Martin-produced Littoral Combat Ships (LCS), as well as a fallback option involving corvettes built by Northrop Grumman. Instead, sources say, the Israeli Navy is pushing to establish its own combat shipbuilding industry through customized, locally built versions of a German corvette design.

"One of the things we put on the table is how to vector our urgent operational needs into a project that can support local industry. We believe a strong case can be made for making this into a national project that fosters self-sufficiency and provides all the economic benefits that come with creating a military shipbuilding industry." An Israeli spokesman said.

Indeed, why be dependent on an unstable Obama Administration who runs his foreign policy like a crazy preacher from the south side of Chicago? Bottom line? Israel doesn't want Obama Administration export restrictions associated with the LCS or other systems. The market for warships over the next 10 to 20 years is huge, with likely buyers in India, China, Singapore, Vietnam and others needing capabilities which Israel could supply; competing in the international market directly with Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman; Offering a similar product at a much lower price tag. Expect many more situations like this during the Islamo-Obama Administration.

Hey, I'm just saying outloud what everyone else is thinking.

Obama "Meddles" in Honduras Internal Affairs, Sides With Chavez

The Leftist President of Honduras who was attempting to pull a 'Chavez,' was ousted from office today. the President wanted a "referendum" to bypass the country's constitution and allow him to run for "reelection," ala Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. Indeed, Manuel Zelaya is a close ally of Chavez, Castro and Ortega.

The Honduran Supreme Court ruled the constitution-circumventing referendum to be illegal and everyone from Congress, the military, and members of his own party opposed it.

Enter Barack Obama. "I am deeply concerned by Zelaya's expulsion... I call on all political and social actors in Honduras to respect democratic norms, the rule of law and the tenets of the Inter-American Democratic Charter." Hmmm. meddling in Iran or anywhere in the Muslim world is a bad thing. Meddling on behalf of Chavez, Castro and Obama's lefty pals is a good thing. Wow!

Thank You Michael Jackson - Cool Iran Video to 'Beat It'

OK, I changed the video on this post to images in Iran played to Michael Jackson's 'Beat It'. I lifted the video from Gateway Pundit who has been doing a great job on the Iran coverage. The entire Iran issue has exposed how newspapers, and the main-stream-media in general are vastly inferior to the Internet when it comes to breaking news. Especially from places like Iran where real news can be obtained almost exclusively from Internet sources while Billion-dollar big media are completely dependent on unpaid citizen journalists to get the story for them. the Michael Jackson coverage is wall to wall at the MSM. Well, at least we see that they seem to have Los Angeles covered pretty well, and there's nothing like a celebrity story for MSM to obsess over.

Elliot Abrams: Hillary Is a Liar

In 'diplomat speak,' Elliot Abrams simply says that "Hillary is wrong" when she asserts that there was no agreement between the United State and Israel on settlement expansion. Of course, in real-world speak, he is calling her a liar, and he more than anyone is in a position to know. Mr. Abrams handled all Middle East affairs at the National Security Council from 2001 to 2009.

"In recent weeks, American officials have denied that any agreement on settlements existed. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stated on June 17 that "in looking at the history of the Bush administration, there were no informal or oral enforceable agreements. That has been verified by the official record of the administration and by the personnel in the positions of responsibility."

These statements are incorrect. Not only were there agreements, but the prime minister of Israel relied on them in undertaking a wrenching political reorientation -- the dissolution of his government, the removal of every single Israeli citizen, settlement and military position in Gaza, and the removal of four small settlements in the West Bank. This was the first time Israel had ever removed settlements outside the context of a peace treaty, and it was a major step.

It is true that there was no U.S.-Israel "memorandum of understanding," which is presumably what Mrs. Clinton means when she suggests that the "official record of the administration" contains none. But she would do well to consult documents like the Weissglas letter, or the notes of the Aqaba meeting, before suggesting that there was no meeting of the minds.

Mrs. Clinton also said there were no "enforceable" agreements. This is a strange phrase. How exactly would Israel enforce any agreement against an American decision to renege on it? Take it to the International Court in The Hague?

Regardless of what Mrs. Clinton has said, there was a bargained-for exchange. Mr. Sharon was determined to break the deadlock, withdraw from Gaza, remove settlements -- and confront his former allies on Israel's right by abandoning the "Greater Israel" position to endorse Palestinian statehood and limits on settlement growth. He asked for our support and got it, including the agreement that we would not demand a total settlement freeze.

For reasons that remain unclear, the Obama administration has decided to abandon the understandings about settlements reached by the previous administration with the Israeli government. We may be abandoning the deal now, but we cannot rewrite history and make believe it did not exist."
Abram's article in today's Wall Street Journal clarifies why the Obama administration is not to be trusted, and should be treated by every US ally as hostile and untrustworthy until proven otherwise. Until now, the only countries that have something to celebrate from the Obama administration are enemy states and terrorist entities (Think Chavez, Ortega, Castro, Ahamadinejad... etc...)
